MICHAEL COHEN is Professor Emeritus of History at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. He was born in London and took his Ph.D. at the London School of Economics. He has published 11 books on the history of the Palestine Mandate and the Rise of the State of Israel, including one each on Churchill and Truman. He has been a Visiting Professor at several North American Universities and a Visiting Fellow at Princeton’s Centre for Advanced Studies.

COLIN SHINDLER is an Emeritus Professor at the School of African and Oriental Studies, University of London. He is the author of numerous books about Israel, his most recent publications being a second edition of his History of Modern Israel (Cambridge 2013), Israel and the European Left (Bloomsbury 2012), and The Hebrew Republic: Israel’s Return to History (Rowman and LittleField, 2017).
